Climate of Mexico

Dry Climate: Found in the northern part of the country, characterized by hot summers and cool winters, with scant precipitation.

Wine Production in Mexico
Mexico has a rich heritage in wine production that dates back to the Spanish colonial era. Today, the country is home to over 200 wineries spread across 10 states. The main wine regions of Mexico include:

Baja California, Guanajuato, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Sonora
Ninety percent of national production is concentrated in Baja California. Mexican wine is distinguished by its diversity and quality. The most representative types of wine in Mexico are:

White Wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Viognier.

Red Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Malbec.

Rosé Wines: Grenache, Pinot Noir.
