Wine tourism is a fundamental part of Spain’s tourism offering, combining the country’s rich winemaking tradition with unique cultural, culinary, and scenic experiences.

• Economic impact: Wine tourism generates over €85 million annually, including winery visits, tastings, accommodations, and complementary activities.
• Wineries: Spain has more than 4,300 wineries, many of which offer wine tourism experiences.
• Vineyard area: With more than 960,000 hectares of vineyards, Spain is the country with the largest cultivated vine area in the world, reflecting its strong wine culture.
• Castilla-La Mancha, with approximately 437,000 hectares of vineyards, holds the distinction of being the region with the largest vineyard area in the world                                                   

Spain is home to several renowned wine regions, each with its own distinctive style and celebrated wines.
   
La Rioja: The region produces approximately 250 million of wine annualy, with 85 %of red wine primarily crafted from the Tempranillo variety.The 15 % consist of white wines. 
                        
Ribera de Duero:  Anoter  region known for Tempranillo, produces full-bodied red wines with deep flavors. Vega Sicilia and Pesquera are iconic labels from this area. 
                                             
Rias Baixas: This region is celebrated for its Albarino Albariño.

Penedes:  Known for its Cava, Spain's.

Castilla - La Mancha: Known for its vast vineyards, this region produces a variety of wines, including Airén (the world’s most planted white grape)
